schätzli vintage: blog: 34!

:-) yay! we've reached a really important milestone. when things first started looking bad (about 25 weeks) the dr. said that she'd really like to get us to 34 or 36 weeks. we're here! and she's still kickin' inside. so thanks be to God for answering our prayers.

Um, I'm getting to the point of feeling HUGE. And still not feeling great every day. Took me 3-1/2 hours to fall asleep last night. Big bellies just get uncomfy! So, she can come anytime, if you ask me (but you didn't ask me, I know.) Notice anything different about the picture?? (the walls are raspberry!! less red than they actually look in the picture but bright and pretty thanks to Grandma Shunk!)

Up next, next milestone, 36 weeks! 14 days here we come! (13 from today actually...)

I've also lived in the third world, can't throw a water bottle away (or anything for that matter) without thinking about where it will go and my part in caring for the world.

I started this blog to update supporters on a European volunteer journey I took 10 years ago and it's morphed into stories and DIY with a smattering of vintage and handmade. I write about whatever is me (piano teacher, mommy, sign-maker) for the moment.

Ahh! I hope I do this right - I've never blogged because I never had to do it I guess. I love the photos of your baby shower - it looked like a great time! Happy 34!...Weeks that is ;)
Do you have a name for this Sweetie Pie yet? Love the wall color choice! Also, there have been a lot of prayers for this little angel, and I can't wait to see the happy girl when she arrives. *Carrie McKinney*

Yay! I noticed immediately that the background was "Rasperry" rather than mustard. I told Michael the other day that I will know when you get the baby's room painted based on your update photos. :) I can't wait to see more pictures of either the work in progress or the completed room. I decorated my classroom and it made me think of you and what it would be like to decorate a child's room. :)
