So I'm on the phone to my best friend in South Korea and this strange man comes down the stairs ... and I realize the beard is GONE!!

It's GONE, my friends! Can I tell you how happy this makes me? At least as long as it lasts, I'm a happy wife.

Yay! My husband just shaved on Monday. It was his valentines day present to me. :) I so love the handsome, well-groomed, new man living in my house. :)

Hello there, friend! My name is Lisa, I'm a wife and a mommy, a daughter and a sister, a friend. I'm silly and sarcastic, contemplative, sensitive and creative.

I love making and appreciating beautiful things, hunting and enjoying else-loved treasures, laughing with friends and eating sweet things. I love the country and think I was probably born in the wrong era. I am a sucker for vintage, dresses and anything European, like tea. Especially tea.

I've also lived in the third world, can't throw a water bottle away (or anything for that matter) without thinking about where it will go and my part in caring for the world.

I started this blog to update supporters on a European volunteer journey I took 10 years ago and it's morphed into stories and DIY with a smattering of vintage and handmade. I write about whatever is me (piano teacher, mommy, sign-maker) for the moment.
