I turned 30 on Thanksgiving Day (Nov 28 for all my non-American friends)!

I've been looking forward to starting a new decade and growing into my new-found smile wrinkles. And what better way to celebrate than with flowers, Izze, cheesecake and family??!

please note the girl's contribution to the gift on the right ... i love her thoughtfulness! :-)

My thirtieth year of life has been one of the more stable ones ... so thankful to have my sweet girl, my husband, his much happier job, a few fun side "jobs" on the side of my full-time one (she's cute, isn't she?), and a warm place to live in ... and decorate.

Hello there, friend! My name is Lisa, I'm a wife and a mommy, a daughter and a sister, a friend. I'm silly and sarcastic, contemplative, sensitive and creative.

I love making and appreciating beautiful things, hunting and enjoying else-loved treasures, laughing with friends and eating sweet things. I love the country and think I was probably born in the wrong era. I am a sucker for vintage, dresses and anything European, like tea. Especially tea.

I've also lived in the third world, can't throw a water bottle away (or anything for that matter) without thinking about where it will go and my part in caring for the world.

I started this blog to update supporters on a European volunteer journey I took 10 years ago and it's morphed into stories and DIY with a smattering of vintage and handmade. I write about whatever is me (piano teacher, mommy, sign-maker) for the moment.
